It has been my honor serving the Chester community these past two years in the State Senate and prior six years in the Assembly. I thank the voters from the bottom of my heart for affording me that privilege.
My focus has always been – and will always be – on our local quality of life; advocating for our fair share of school, infrastructure and local police funding; and protecting the character of our community. It’s why I constantly fight for infrastructure upgrades (Route 17M, including the bridge, is next). And it’s why I fight tooth-and-nail to protect the state aid that flows to our local schools: When Chester schools were facing a $1.3 million state penalty that would’ve crushed taxpayers and students, I passed legislation to absolve the outrageous fines.
In the coming months, I will continue to be laser-focused on protecting our public health and rebuilding the economy. As we keep our community and workplaces safe from a resurgent virus, we must create jobs, support our small businesses and take this opportunity to restructure our corporate tax code so that the Home Depots and Walmarts of the world – which made enormous profits during the shutdown – pick up more of the slack.
That’s why I’m one of only two Democrats – out of 63 State Senate races – to be endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Businesses.
I ask for your consideration so that I can continue being your voice and fighter both locally and in Albany. I will work every moment of the next two years to make Chester proud.
