Goshen’s Braeden Gelletich wins National USTA, qualifies for the Easter Bowl

    — Braeden Gelletich of Goshen won a United States Tennis Association (USTA) Level 2 National Tournament in Tucson, Arizona, the weekend of Feb. 16-17.
    On his way to the title, the unseeded Braeden defeated the number one seed, as well as the number three and number four seeds, all of whom were ranked among top 30 players in the country. Previously ranked outside of the top-100, Braeden is now ranked 46th among the nation’s best 12 and under players.
    In addition, he earned a coveted spot in the prestigious Easter Bowl, a “blockbuster showcase of American junior tennis,” hosted by the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in Palm Springs, California.
    Braeden trains five days a week at MatchPoint Tennis in Goshen, and is a part of its nationally ranked junior team tennis program.
