Goshen golfer Erika Fuentes named PGA Junior Player of the Year

— Erika Fuentes, a 17-year-old senior from Goshen High School, was named Metropolitan PGA Junior Player of the Year in an awards ceremony held at Bethpage State Golf Course earlier this month.
Fuentes took first place in seven tournaments and placed in the top three in three tournaments earning her the distinct title of 2018 Player of the Year for the Girls Divisions. Earlier in the season she took first place in the Hudson Valley Junior Golf League.
“It was a huge honor to be named PGA Junior Player of the Year especially since I just started playing golf in the spring of 2017,” said Fuentes.
Erika has just signed her National Letter of Intent to play golf for the College of Saint Rose, where she will be majoring in business in the fall of 2019.
