Boys earn semi-final victory over Beacon

The varsity boys basketball team pulled out a 66-60 victory at home against Beacon in a Section IX Class A semi-final game on March 1. 2023.
In front of fans dressed in all gray, junior guard Tyson Clark led the Gladiators with 21 points, while senior guards Jaidyn Rutling and Luke Michalski netted 18 and 17 respectively.
“I think Beacon is a tough team, they played us better than anyone in the section, but we played better,” head coach Sal D’Angelo said after the game.
The team’s next game - a win against Our Lady of Lourdes on March 4 by a score of 64-52 - resulted in the Gladiators claiming the Section IX Class A championship.
