Toys for Tots drop-off sites

GOSHEN — The Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program collects new and unwrapped toys, books, and other gifts during October, November and December each year. The Marines then distribute the gifts to less-fortunate children in each community where the campaigns are conducted.

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation was created in 1991.

Toy distribution in Orange County will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, at the Newburgh Armory Unity Center, 321 South William St., Newburgh. Parents and guardians must bring a valid photo id, proof of government assistance, and child's original birth certificate or Social Security number. Registration forms will be distributed on site. Check the Toys for Tots Web site — http://toysfortots.org — periodically for updates.

Toys for Tots accepts monetary donations mailed to P.O. Box 131, 1964 Little Britain Rd., Rock Tavern, NY 12575.
