Goshen. The public is invited to attend the unveiling and ribbon cutting of the Goshen Central School District's newly refurbished auditorium, which will have a new name to honor former schools superintendent Roy Reese. The program will be held in the high school auditorium at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, with a reception immediately following in the cafeteria. The high school drama, “Peter and the Starcatcher,” will perform its opening night following the ceremony at 7:30 p.m. The auditorium is named after a former superintendent and high school principal who spent decades sharing his passion for education and the theater stage crew with hundreds of Goshen students. The board of education on June 17 adopted a resolution to name the newly refurbished auditorium after Reese, after students began a petition – which quickly gained hundreds of signatures – in his honor.
