Principal Kotes gets tenure
GOSHEN — Kurtis Kotes, principal at Goshen High School, was awarded tenure at the Dec. 1 Goshen school board meeting among family and other well-wishers.
Kotes joined the Goshen district from Cornwall in December 2011, when he was hired for a three-year probationary period.
“Since his first days as principal, Kurtis Kotes has proven to be an outstanding educator who has a gift for leading people,” said Superintendent Daniel Connor in a statement posted on the school website. “His vision for the high school has led to many great changes and accomplishments during his time as principal.”
"Principal Kotes has built positive relationships with the parents, staff and students of Goshen High School," said Dr. Frank Sheboy, assistant superintendent for curriculum, instruction, personnel and technology. "He is an excellent leader who always puts his students first."
