Preferred Home Care opens Middletown office
MIDDLETOWN — Preferred Home Care of New York on Dec. 5 held a grand opening of its new office at 21 Center St. in Middletown.
“Orange County residents deserve quality jobs, and quality care, and we’re thrilled to be a part of that,” says Preferred CEO and President Berry Weiss. “The last few years have seen a rapidly increasing demand from the area, and we’re excited to be able to meet it.”
Preferred Home Care currently serves almost 6,000 clients, with eight branches across the New York metropolitan area. Its stated mission is to "provide seniors with a high quality of home care that they would receive from a family member, to enhance quality of life and give peace of mind."
“What differentiates our staff is their skill,” said administrator Allen Hymowitz. “By training our aides in our own Department of Health-approved schools, and choosing only people of dedication and integrity, we’ve managed to grow exponentially-and establish new branches like this one.”
Wendy Javier, the new branch’s Director of Operations, said, "We’re committed to providing not only hundreds of jobs for Orange County residents, but compassionate home care for every local in need. If you are an Orange County resident, you can expect exciting new opportunities.”
Director of Patient Services Sandra Picillo said the county has a dearth of high-quality home care.
“Our goal is to make every ill or aging person happier-at home,” she said. “We’re offering skilled aides, nurses, or therapists, all while infusing the area with excellent employment opportunities."
