Orange Regional announces new leadership appointments

MIDDLETOWN — Orange Regional Medical Center has announced the following additions to its leadership team.
Alma Baird, RN, CNOR has joined Orange Regional Medical Center as Perioperative Service Line administrator. Baird brings a wealth of knowledge in Perioperative Service Line leadership and has experience in Operating Room Staff, director and senior Perioperative Service Leadership positions. Most recently, Baird served as the director of the Perioperative Service Line for HCA Healthcare in Thousand Oaks, Ca., she started multiple new surgical services and programs and brought the organization into best practice performance for key operational indicators. At Orange Regional, she will be responsible for the planning and coordination of perioperative services and program development. Baird received her bachelor of science degree in Healthcare Administration from St. Peter’s College.
Miguel Rodrigues has accepted the position of Orange Regional's director of Security and Emergency Management. Rodrigues has 16 years of experience in security and has extensive HAZMAT and FEMA training. He was a crisis management instructor for New York State and is currently a firefighter for the City of Middletown. Rodrigues has an associate’s degree in criminal justice and political science from Orange County Community College.
Rachel Roeber, RN, has been promoted to director of Quality Services. Roeber joined Orange Regional in 2010 as a quality nurse specialist and has taken the lead in several areas including liaison for the Greater New York Hospital Association’s Perinatal Collaborative and as facilitator for performance improvement initiatives in the perioperative surgical areas. Most recently, Roeber served as outcomes manager at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta, N.Y., where she was responsible for coordination of performance improvement activities, patient safety and regulatory compliance. In her new role, she will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Performance Improvement Program at Orange Regional where she will oversee hospital-wide performance improvement activities. Roeber earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing from SUNY Delhi.
