Local Boys Make Good with Quest Financial

Quest Financial Services is one of the largest private companies in the Orange County area, yet you may have not heard of them. Interestingly, while the firm has grown fast, the founding partners are most excited to discuss their local roots, community responsibility and meeting client needs.

When Robert Cepeda and Nicholas Tuck founded Quest Financial Services in the 1990s they resisted the pull of working in the city; they had a longer term vision for their business. “We are both from the area, Robert went to Goshen High School and I went to Warwick,” said Nick. “We founded the company here in Orange County with the idea of working with people that are our friends and neighbors. Our families are here. We have roots here and have always wanted to give back.”

And give back they do. Their commitment to their hometown has not wavered, as Quest Financial Services has set up an annual scholarship for local students who are community oriented and motivated leaders “It's important to us,” says Robert. “We did not come from wealth, and we love our community, it's just something that was very natural when we set it up.” They also work with local charitable organizations by co-hosting events and increasing awareness.

Approachable
Always approachable, the partners are more intent on discussing what's important to clients, instead of their personal accomplishments. They have been there too. “I've felt the emotion of seeing children go off to college, the elation and the sadness. I've also lost a parent, and understand how difficult it is to go through that, not only the emotion, but all the complexities that go with it,” said Robert. “We've been through the evolutions of life with our own families, as well as with our clients, some we have been with for decades.”

“We made a conscious decision to stay here,” says Tuck. “We not only wanted to build a business here, where we were raised, but also give back. Our families and friends are here. We have roots here and that's important to us.” Cepeda adds, “From the very beginning, we wanted our business to be located here, it was because we wanted to support this community.”

Nicholas echoes his partner's enthusiasm, “It's so much more than just the numbers. It's the personal touch from everyone in our group. It's our events that include everything from complex strategy seminars to Yankee game outings and wine tastings. We are very close to our clients, and to our community. We are very proud to be here in Goshen.”
