More than 150 guests braved 90-degree heat on July 10 to enjoy an outdoor cocktail reception, open house, and ribbon cutting ceremony on the lawn of the new Warwick office building at 21 Oakland Avenue for the law firm Blustein, Shapiro, Rich & Barone, LLP (BSR&B).

Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Michael Johndrow acted as master of ceremonies, and helped welcome Warwick Mayor Michael Newhard, Warwick Town Supervisor Michael Sweeton, and Orange County Partnership Business Attraction Director Bill Fioravanti to the podium as they each officially welcomed the firm to the Warwick area.

"I am so pleased to offer my congratulations to Blustein, Shapiro, Rich & Barone for opening an office in Warwick," Johndrow said. "It's wonderful to know that the firm's partners recognize the economic strength of the Warwick Valley."

Public officials in attendance included former Congresswoman Nan Hayworth, Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus, Orange County Sheriff Carl DuBois, Town of Deerpark Supervisor Karl Brabenec, Warwick Village Trustee and Orange County Legislator Barry Cheney, Orange County Community Foundation President Karen VanHouten Minogue, and Pine Bush Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Ellen Quimby.

Also present were BSR&B's newest attorney, Jeanine Wadeson, and BSR&B partner Jay Myrow.

Wadeson, the sitting Village of Warwick justice, and Myrow, an attorney for the Town of Warwick and a former Village of Warwick justice, are both long-time Warwick residents.

"We couldn't be happier with the reception we've received so far from this community," BSR&B Managing Partner Michael Blustein told the crowd. "We're looking forward to not only Jay and Jeanine, but our whole team of attorneys making themselves available to handle all of your legal needs. We're confident that this will be a wonderful fit."
