Lakeside Farmers Market opens Sept. 11 at Thomas P. Morahan Waterfront Park
Greenwood Lake. The market will be open Saturdays now through Oct. 30.
The newest farmers market in Orange County will begin a weekly appearance each Saturday from Sept. 11 through Oct. 30, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Thomas P. Morahan Waterfront Park beach of Greenwood Lake.
“In addition to the offerings of our vendors, we will be coordinating special events, entertainment, demonstrations and other activities along with a coordinated social media and print marketing campaign to draw customers to the market,” Market Manager Karen Wintrow said. “With the unique location on our beautiful lake, we are expecting a robust market that will prove of great value to local residents as well as the vendors and non-profits participating each week.

Among the vendors participating at the Lakeside Farmers Market are the following:
High Bridge Farm, from Greenville in New York, will be bringing pastured pork and grass-fed beef.
Cohen Acres, LLC, making a special appearance at opening day with its signature Challamin Buns.
Campanelli’s Poultry Farm, bringing eggs, chicken, flavored chicken sausages, and more.
J&A Farm produce farm from the Black Dirt region.
Locally prominent Greenwood Lake Bagels & Bakery.
Greenwood Lake’s award-winning Jean-Claude’s Patisserie & Dessert Café.
Ash Hopper all-natural, hand-crafted soaps.

Non-profit organizations featured
In addition NASA Solar System Ambassadors will be on hand, one of many non-profit organizations to be featured each week, to share the latest information with both kids and grownups about the extraordinary programs to explore our universe. The NASA Solar System Ambassadors program is a public engagement effort that works with motivated volunteers across the nation to communicate the science and excitement of NASA’s space exploration missions and discoveries with the people in their communities.
The Lakeside Farmers Market, on behalf of the Village of Greenwood Lake, showcases many of the local farms and purveyors in Greenwood Lake and nearby region. The fall season is the peak time to experience the beauty and the bounty of local produce, orchards, bakeries, humanely raised beef, pork and poultry, gourmet selections, unique crafts, and information from not-for-profit organizations.
