High school students honored as 'Goshen Greats'











GOSHEN — Goshen High School recently honored 10 students as "Goshen Greats" for their accomplishments in a specific subject area.
The Goshen Greats program recognizes the unique achievements of one student from each major discipline each quarter. Students are nominated by their teachers for accomplishments that are benchmarks in their academic career or demonstrate school leadership.
The Goshen Greats and their families were invited to a breakfast held in the cafeteria in their honor, where they were given certificates of achievement.

Noemi Burgos, nominated by Social Studies Teacher Anna LaRegina for her accomplishments in Global History and Geography 9
Lydia DeFusto, nominated by music teacher Kim Longo for her accomplishments in Symphonic Band
Ryan Ellefsen, nominated by guidance counselor Laura Dubatowka for Overall Academic Progress
Kelly Fellenzer, nominated by English teacher Marlin Maduras for her accomplishments in AP English 11
Katrina Imperio, nominated by math teachers Will Denaxas and Christina Smith for her accomplishments in Algebra I
Oliva Klugman, nominated by foreign language teacher Marisol Paneto for her accomplishments in Spanish 2
Thomas Lewis, nominated by science teacher Lori Paulus for his accomplishments in Biology
Hannah Ritz, nominated by music teacher Kristen Calohan for her accomplishments in Chamber Orchestra
Ethan Tew, nominated by social studies teacher Michael Isseks for his accomplishments in AP European History and Economics 12
Lilly Weilacher, nominated by health teacher Matthew O’Brien for her accomplishments in Health
