Chabad of Orange County in Goshen hosted menorah lightings in eight different communities across Orange County, including Goshen, Chester and the Galleria Mall at Crystal Run to celebrate the beginning of Chanukah. Chabad of Orange County in Goshen hosted menorah lightings in eight different communities across Orange County, including Goshen, Chester and the Galleria Mall at Crystal Run, to celebrate the beginning of Chanukah.
“Lighting up the whole county - not just physically but spiritually is our goal and the message of Chanukah,” Rabbi Meir Borenstein, the director of chabadoc.com in Goshen.
Along the way they brought joy, hot latkes, doughnuts and chocolate coins inspire of the cold weather. Borenstein estimated more than 600 people participated in the celebrations.
There will be one additional menorah lighting on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 6 p.m. in Greenwood Lake.
