Due to on-going concerns about COVID-19, the board of trustees of the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame has cancelled the 2020 Harness induction dinner and ceremonies in Goshen scheduled for Sunday, July 5.
Harness Racing Hall of Fame honorees, including Tom Charters, Jeff Gural, Bill Popfinger and Tim Tetrick, and communicators Phil Pikelny and Ken Weingartner, who were scheduled for induction this year, will instead be officially inducted at the July 2021 event.
Also being honored at the 2021 event will be the newest members of the Living Horse Hall of Fame: Always B Miki, Bee A Magician and Sweet Lou, and broodmares Danae and Precious Beauty. Roy Davis and Arlene Siegel will be inducted into the Hall of the Immortals and Steve Oldford, the 2020 Museum Amateur Driving Champion, will be recognized for the seventh time.
The 2020 board of trustees annual meeting will be held by video or telephone conferencing on or about July 5.
