Heroes Appreciation Day Parade was sponsored by Illuminate Goshen, with Molly and Jimmy O’Donnell spearheading the event. It took place on Saturday, July 3, beginning at noon.
Marching down Main Street, the Veterans Color Guard proudly led off the parade, followed by representatives from police, fire districts, emergency service and essential workers from here and around Orange County. The Ancient Division of Hibernians, Division 1 Pipes and Drums added atmosphere to the parade.
“The event turned out great,” said George Lyons, who was asked by Jimmy O’Donnell to assist in getting EMS vehicles to join the parade. “Even the weather co-operated. This was a great event.”
Lyons is a Town of Goshen Councilman and president of GOVAC.
