What could be better?
It was a warm summer evening and 250 people - some with walkers and others young enough to do cartwheels - gathered on the side lawn of the Goshen Public Library and Historical Society for Swing music and ice cream.
Dave Cole and his Big Band Sound orchestra provided the music as they have done for 19 years. The cost of the band was, once again, covered by Norton and Christensen of Goshen.
And Paul Corey of the Trail Side Treats again generously provided the ice cream.
Toward the end of the concert, several couples danced to the music.
The Junior Friends of the library helped out and - as all small town newspaper stories ended more than 100 years ago - “A good time was had by all.”
