The first house, a semi-attached single-family home or essentially a duplex, is rising at The Greens at Chester following the town’s issuance of the first building permit.
Greens builder Livy Swartz said The Greens gave the town of Chester close to a 12 million dollar bond, returnable when the infrastructure is complete.
Swartz said he will apply for more building permits in the next few days.
The first houses will rise in Sections D and E at The Greens. It all began with laying the foundation of the first house. In all, the developer wants to build 431 homes.
