The Kiwanis Club of Chester presented five $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from Chester Academy on July 6.
Members of the Chester Kiwanis Club, which include Cathy O’Hara, superintendent of the Chester School District, and John Flannigan, principal of Chester Academy, were in attendance.
Ryan DeVico was awarded the Chester Kiwanis Education Scholarship.
Brisa Gonzalez was awarded the Chester Kiwanis Humanities Award.
Alia Mahmood-ul-Haq received the Chester Kiwanis Healthcare Scholar Award.
Julie Malone received the Chester Kiwanis Key Club Service Award.
Elena Paulino received the Chester Kiwanis Vocational/Technical Scholarship Award.
“The Kiwanis Club of Chester wishes these students well in their future endeavors,” club officials said in the press release announcing the awards. “We further would like to thank the Chester community and beyond for supporting all of our various fundraisers that enable us to support, not only our graduates, but many other organizations throughout the Chester community.”
