Children had fun making apple mocktinis, carrot cake pops, and Rosh Hashanah fruit salad as they explored the culinary aspect of Rosh Hashanah.
They learned about the foods eaten for the holiday -- apples dipped in honey; carrots, which in Yiddish, is merren, which also means “more" and "plentiful”; and pomegranates, which have many seeds, like the good deeds observers plan to do this year.
