Buon Appetito!
Goshen. First Presbyterian Church to host spaghetti dinner takeout on Nov. 20.
Most of us have spent months of pretty much being in our homes, cooking three meals a day for ourselves and for our family. The Deacons at the First Presbyterian Church in Goshen decided we all need a break, so they’re offering a delicious takeout meal that you don’t have to cook yourself.
The enticing menu features a Spaghetti Dinner made with Lakeville Inn’s famous sauce prepared by locally known home chef Carol Gabella. Offered by request are meat or meatless sauce and regular or gluten free pasta.
Also included are a fresh-made salad, Italian bread and a choice of Coke, Sprite or ice tea.
The dinner is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 20, with pick-up between 5 and 7 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 33 Park Place, Goshen.
The cost is a modest $12.00 for adults; $6.00 for children under 12; and free for children under the age of three.
To order, call the church at (845) 294-7991 on Friday, Nov. 13, from 3 to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon. You’ll be given a pick-up time when you order; call the church when you arrive and your order will be brought right to your car.
Cash or check - made out to The First Presbyterian Church in Goshen - will be accepted at that time.
“We hope this will be a success, the food is delicious,” said Carolyn Keller, Moderator of the Deacons. “This is a home-cooked meal that gives you a night off from cooking! What could be better?”
Proceeds go to the Minister’s Discretionary Fund to help people in need, especially appreciated during this difficult time.
