Brian and Betsy Dunlevy are Inspire Shining Stars

GOSHEN — Brian and Betsy Dunlevy of Goshen will receive the Inspire Foundation's Bill Devitt Shining Stars Award for Exemplary Community Service to Orange County.
"Active community members Brian and Betsy are an inspiration to the Orange County community," says a statement by Inspire, a not-for-profit charity, officially known as Orange County Cerebral Palsy Association, that provides outpatient, educational, and support services for people of all ages and abilities. "They have both been involved in dozens of ventures throughout the county, from the Goshen Chamber, Goshen Little League and Soccer Club, Orange Pathways, to the Tour de Goshen, the Goshen Joint Recreation Commission, and Habitat for Humanity. They understand and embrace service to others and their community as critical to both personal and professional growth."
They will be honored at the Shining Stars Celebration on Friday, Oct. 13, at The Fountains in Middletown, which will also award Mary Ellen Rogulski, retired banker and Inspire board member, with the Mary Lee Berry Shining Stars Award for Outstanding Service to People with Disabilities. Rogulski joined the Inspire Board of Directors in 2000 and has since served as chair, vice chair, treasurer and secretary.
"Over the past 17 years, Mary Ellen has shown a passion for helping children and adults with disabilities and exemplifies the mission of Inspire," says a statement from the organization.
The Celebration will begin with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m., followed by dinner. Entertainment will be provided by Debbie Major. The evening will also feature a silent auction with a variety of baskets and items donated by many local businesses. Proceeds will support Inspire’s programs and services supportinng individuals with developmental disabilities.
This year’s sponsors are Legoland New York, the Middletown Elks Lodge, Drake Loeb, and Dale and Irving Zuckerman. Sponsorships and journal opportunities are still available.
