Healey Brothers moves to Goshen
MIDDLETOWN Healey Brothers is moving from Middletown to its Lincoln-Mercury facility on Route 17M in Goshen in April, according to co-owners Paul and Dwight Healey. Phase one of the extensive three-phase renovation at the Lincoln-Mercury location is well underway and includes the addition of a new commercial Truck Service Center, the owners said. The second and third phases will commence shortly, with the $1 million project expected to be completed in mid-2009. “The reason for the move is simple: to bring our important Ford, Lincoln and Mercury brands under one roof at one expansive facility to better accommodate the needs of our customers and our employees,” said Paul Healey. “We’ve been working with Ford Motor Company for quite some time and we’re confident the consolidation of all three brands in a new showcase facility will be a big boost to our business, attracting more new and used car buyers.” Dwight Healey said it’s “definitely one of the top major developments in Healey Brothers’ 30-year history. It’s very exciting.” Much of the work now being completed in phase one is inside the building from renovating the showroom to accommodate staging areas for new Ford, Lincoln and Mercury cars and trucks, to providing a comfortable space for customers. Phase two will begin soon with remodeling of the entire facilities, including tiling throughout and new furniture and fixtures. Phase three, a total makeover of the building’s facade with a polished chrome finish and “look,” will complete the renovation. “We will afford our customers the best environment’ and accommodations for all aspects of the car shopping and buying experience...comfortable, relaxed and pleasant,” Dwight Healey said. “Buying a car here is really going to be fun.” In addition, the “new” Healey Ford Lincoln Mercury will have expanded sales, service, and parts operations and be much better equipped to service larger trucks and limousines, the owners say. The service and parts departments will be open six days a week, including extended evening hours and a full day on Saturday. The sale department will be open seven days a week and have an extensive accessories department along with an on-site vehicle detail facility. Healey Brothers has operated its Ford dealership on Route 211 in Middletown for nearly ten years. The company has served the automotive needs of the Hudson Valley for over 30 years and now operates eight dealerships in Beacon, Goshen, and Vails Gate. The firm employs over 300 people. In addition to Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury, Healey owns and operates Chevrolet, Buick, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Hyundai, and Mitsubishi stores.
