Warren Ralph Milyko Sr., formerly of the Goshen and Chester area and then the Sparrow Bush, passed away peacefully at Milford Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, surrounded by family and the loving staff at Milford Healthcare.
Warren was born Jan. 27, 1940, in New York City, the son of Pauline and Joseph Milyko.
He is predeceased by his wife Louise, his sister Marion,and brother Joseph.
He worked as a truck driver his whole career and was a proud member of Teamsters Local 445 and 707.
Warren loved to tinker and was an adept handy man and mechanic who had a special love for woodworking. He was also extremely passionate about dogs, especially his boxer dogs, past and present.
He is survived by his children: Doris and her husband Michael Thomas of Catskill, their sons Joseph Thomas and his wife Megan and Christopher Thomas and his wife Kim and their daughter – Warren’s great-granddaughter- Emma; Warren Milyko Jr., his children Sarah and Nicholas and his partner Jenn Wilding of Huguenot; Suzann and her husband Steve Jacobs of Middletown and their sons Scott and Sean; Nancy and her husband Scott Rutulante of Kiamesha Lake; Andrew Milyko and his wife Kate and daughter Olivia of Sparrow Bush.
Visitation was held Dec. 23 at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, Inc., 139 Stage Road, Monroe.
Pastor Peter A. Rustico of St. John’s Lutheran Church officiated a service at the funeral home.
A celebration of life and burial will be scheduled in the spring (COVID-pending) with a BBQ picnic celebration.
The family is eternally grateful to everyone at Milford Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Milford, Pa., for all their genuine love, support, and amazing care and to Pastor Rustico and everyone at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Middletown for your continued support and spiritual guidance over these many years.
