Thomas B. McGuigan, a retired Building Manager for Building Services 32 B.J., of New York City and a long-time resident of the area, died peacefully on Jan. 22, 2023, at Garnett Medical Center in Wallkill, NY.
Tom was 68 years of age.
Tom was the son of Alex and Irene McGuigan and was born in New York City in 1954.
The youngest of three boys, he was raised in Queens, NY, then moved to Orange County in 1987, where he met Jeanne, and they were married in May 1994 and frequently traveled and enjoyed Cancun, Mexico.
Tom also enjoyed working in Real Estate after retirement. His smile will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne McGuigan, at home, brother Kevin McGuigan (Lynn), sister-in-law Maureen McGuigan, brother-in-law James Smith (Denise), sister in Law Joanne Iannuzzi (Gene).
His nieces and nephews Krissy Projansky (Steven) Justin (Trixie) Jamee Smith, Gene (Kaitlyn) Vincent (Lindsay), and Nicholas (Laura) Iannuzzi, along with Grand Nieces and Nephews: Emily, Evan, Gene, Keegan, Cameron, Lia, Caleb, Olivia, and Luke also survive him.
Tom was pre-deceased by his parents, his brother James McGuigan, and brother-in-law John D. Smith.
Private family visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, 3 Hudson St., Chester, NY 10918.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Columba R.C. Church, 27 High St., Chester, NY 10918.
Burial will follow at Chester Community Cemetery, 1 Hudson St., Chester, NY 10918, immediately after the funeral mass.
