Theresa M. Tomer of Monroe passed away on Friday, Oct. 22, 2021, at Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. She was 63 years old.
The daughter of Edna (Spink) and Harley Jacobsen, she was born on Jan. 11, 1958, in East Meadow.
Theresa was a bus driver for the Monroe-Woodbury School District in Central Va and she was an active member of Grace Community Church in Washingtonville.
Theresa is survived by her husband Miles E. Tomer Jr., at home; her children: Myles Tomer and his wife Marlene of Middletown; Christopher Tomer of Monroe; her son-in-law Kevin Kinsella of Ramsey, N.J.; and by five grandchildren: Julen, Luke, Hadassah, Noah and Calvin. She is also survived by her brothers John Jacobsen of Salisbury Mills and Richard Jacobsen of West Palm, Fla.; in addition to her sister Mary Novitsky of Yaphank; and by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her daughter Jenine Kinsella.
Visitation, followed by a chapel service, were held Oct. 28 at Smith, Seaman, and Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe, NY 10950.
Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.
