Robert L. Decker of Washingtonville entered into rest on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. He was 79.
Robert was born Jan. 6, 1944, in Goshen, the son of Lawrence Decker and Barbara Campbell Decker. He was a 1962 graduate of Goshen High School.
He retired from Local 373 in Salisbury Mills as a Steamfitter where he was a 50-year member, a lifetime member of Dikeman Hose Goshen, an avid fly fisherman and sportsman and member of Lone Pine Hunting Camp.
He raced motocross for more than 50 years with D34, New York and the MSC motocross association. He also was a member of Goshen Pacers Hot Rod club.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Joy Campo-Decker of Washingtonville, his son Colin Decker, daughter Campbell Decker Engelsen, daughter Kelly Decker and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Shannon R. Decker. Survived by his brother, Joseph Decker of Goshen.
