Edith V. Horton, a 67-year resident of Warwick, passed away on Friday, Aug. 14, 2020 at her home in Warwick surrounded by family and friends. She was 85 years old.
Born on May 19, 1935, in New York City, she was the daughter of the Jean De Francesco and Anna Pateracki.
She was married to the late Harley Horton.
Before retiring, Edith was an administrative assistant with Jones Chemical Company in Warwick. She was a former member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and she was a parishioner of St. Stephen’s Church in Warwick.
She is survived by her children: Ray Horton and his wife Lori of Goshen, Harley Horton and his partner Richard of Atlanta, Ga., James Joseph Horton and his partner Stephen of Middletown, and Jean Horton and her partner Millie of Atlanta, Ga; a sister, Jean McWilliams of Florida, N.Y.; six grandchildren: Nichole DeNisco and her husband Joseph, Taylor Horton, Jennifer Blyden and her husband Jordan, Justin Horton, Jordan Horton and Jamie Horton; two great-grandchildren: Anthony DeNisco and Joseph DeNisco; and former daughter-in-law Denise Trainor and husband Tom of Atlanta, Ga.
Visitation was held Aug. 19 at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.
A Funeral Mass was held Aug. 20 at St. Stephen R.C. Church.
Interment followed in Warwick Cemetery.
