Rosemarie Read

Rosemarie Read, a longtime resident of the Monroe area, passed away at her home Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017, surrounded by loved ones. She was 77 years old.
Daughter of Jeremiah and Rose Tyrrell Terrier, she was born in Brooklyn on May 1, 1939.
Rosemarie was the widow of John W. Read, who predeceased her in April, 1996.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Queen of Hats, Feathers and Fun.
Rosemarie was the owner of Miss Rosemarie’s School of Dance in Sloatsburg from 1974 to 1990.
Survivors include her daughter Deborah Read of Monroe; her son John W. Read Jr. and his wife Lisa of Chester; and her six grandchildren: Christopher and Jacquelyn Omar, and John, Caroline, Michael and Thomas Read.
Burial is private and at the convenience of the family.
