Colin Schmitt is 'leading the fight against the heroin and opioid epidemic in Albany'

I would like to thank the Assemblyman Colin Schmitt for his concern and leadership against the heroin and opioid epidemic.

Having attended his recent round table discussion, it is easy to see that Mr. Schmitt is committed to solving this enormous problem.

The statistics regarding overdoses in the Hudson Valley are alarming. Many are negatively impacted by this crisis.

The round table discussion was a great way to bring together our county and state experts for a hands on approach to tackle this issue.

Some helpful topics explored included the Hope not Handcuffs program and Narcan use.

As one of the families that has lost a child to this health crisis I am so glad to have Assemblyman Colin Schmitt leading the fight against the heroin and opioid epidemic up in Albany.
