Middletown. The Hudson Valley Plein Air Festival has announced its winners. "Hudson's Light," an oil painting by Olena Babak, won first place; "October," an oil by John Slivjak, won best Goshen painting; and "Before the Rain," an oil by Jacqueline Jones, won best Greenwood Lake scene. These and 97 works painted in plein air -- that is, painted outdoors -- will be on display through November 25 at the Orange Hall Gallery, located at the corner of Wawayanda and Grandview Avenues on the SUNY Orange campus in Middletown. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday; and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday. For more information call 341-4891.
