The Academy of Film Television Stage and Performing Arts will hold in-person acting classes with social distancing on Saturday mornings beginning May 15 at The Colab, 45 St. John St., Goshen.
In addition, an informational workshop will be offered there on May 8 at noon.
Classes are for those students interested professional level acting. The Academy offers acting classes in the Sanford Meisner Acting Technique, as well as classes in voice in the Seth Riggs Method of “Speech Level Singing.”
Graduates of Sanford Meisner who took classes with him at the Neighborhood Playhouse include Diane Keaton, Gregory Peck, Jeff Goldblum, Eli Wallach, Robert Duvall, Christopher Lloyd, Mary Steenburgen, Sydney Pollack, Sandra Bullock, Tony Randall, Steve McQueen, Terrence Malik and the academy’s own David Patrick Wilson, to name just a few.
