The Junior Friends of the Goshen Public Library and Historical Society will present the popular program “Growing Up in Goshen” on Friday, April 11, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the library.
All are invited to come to listen and/or share your recollections of what life was like in Goshen when you were a child.
What were the schools like?
What stores did you visit that no longer exist?
Did you take a train from Goshen?
Or attend a movie in the theater in the village?
Where did you sleigh ride? Ice skate?
Buy ice cream?
Swim?
Do you have any memories of life in Goshen during World War II? The Vietnam War?
Was there a memorable weather event?
Any special memories of parades or fireworks?
What kind of car did your family have?
What kind of games did you play?
Come keep these memories alive. If you need a ride, email Jim Tarvin at jttarvin@hvc.rr.com.
