Goshen. ‘Freud’s Last Session’ on stage at Cornerstone Theatre Arts, beginning Sept. 9
Cornerstone Theatre Arts will be performing Mark St. Germain’s astutely powerful play “Freud’s Last Session” at The Goshen Music Hall on in September.
Did Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis, and C. S. Lewis, the writer of “The Chronicles of Narnia,” ever meet in person?
“This intriguing prospect forms the basis for Mark St. Germain’s play Freud’s Last Session,” a reviewer wrote in Comment Magazine. “Freud invites Lewis to his home in London. Imagining the discussion of God, death, love and sex C.S. Lewis and Sigmund Freud might have shared, had these large personalities intersected.”
Under the direction of Joe Barra, Dean Knapp plays C.S. Lewis and John Kleymeyer plays Sigmund Freud.
Set design is by Evelyn Albino. Lights and Sound are designed by Victoria Cottone. The play runs approximately 90 minutes.
