GNSO to end season with ‘Symfunny Circus’ performance

The Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra (GNSO) closes its 2023/24 season on Saturday, July 27 at Aquinas Hall on the Mount Saint Mary College campus in Newburgh with “Symfunny Circus.” The show promises to be a captivating blend of circus performers accompanied by the GNSO, suitable for audiences of all ages.
The GNSO invites the public to this family-friendly event, which will also feature “mini-maestros,” where kids can conduct the orchestra. As a bonus, children 12 and under will receive a gift certificate for a free ice cream cone from Stewarts.
“Symfunny Circus” will be presented Saturday, July 27 at 4 p.m. at Mount Saint Mary College’s Aquinas Hall in Newburgh. Ticket prices vary: Balcony $75, Center Reserved $60, General $50, Senior Citizen (62+) $30. They can be purchased at the door, by visiting newburghsymphony.org or calling 845- 913-7157. Students (18 + under) are admitted free to general seating.
The Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1995 by Dr. Woomyung Choe and its first president, the late George Handler, who was followed as president after 10 years by the late Fred McCurdy. In addition to six regular subscription concerts, the Orchestra performs special engagements.
