Goshen doctors nominated as 'favorite providers'
GOSHEN - Three local doctors are among eight nominated by magazine readers as favorite providers, Horizon Family Medical Group announced in a press release this week.
The eight physicians, representing several different fields, were nominated by readers of Hudson Valley Parent magazine as Favorite Healthcare Providers in the region, according to the release.
The nominees are: Dr. Alex Joanow and Dr. Dominic Aro, Gynecology/Women’s Health; Dr. Saju Das, Dr. John Dermigny and Dr. Frank Imbarrato, Primary Care, Dr. Thomas Reed, Internist/Pulmonology, and Physician Assistant Kerry Gomulka and Family Nurse Practitioner Victoria Rheaume.
Many of those named are multiple-year nominees, according to the release.
The honorees and their biographies will be listed in an online directory of healthcare services on hudsonvalleyparent.com.
Dr. Aro and Gomulka care for patients in Goshen, Dr. Das and Dr. Reed in New Windsor, Dr. Dermigny and Rheaume in Florida and Dr. Joanow in Goshen, Highland Falls and New Windsor, the release said.
Dr. Imbarrato recently retired from medicine and worked in Horizon’s Monroe office with Dr. Joena Chan and Dr. Craig Amnott who currently provide Primary Care in that office, according to the medical group.
With 38 locations throughout Orange County, Horizon Family Medical Group is a National Committee for Quality Assurance Patient Centered Medical Home Level 3 – the highest designation available – to ensure its patients receive the highest quality of care and coordination of their healthcare, the group said in the release.
Horizon also received the 2016 HIMSS Ambulatory Davies Award of Excellence for outstanding achievement using health Information Technology (IT) to substantially improve patient outcomes, the release said.
