Power outage closes courts Monday
GOSHEN — All courts in the Orange County Courthouse complex are closed because of a power outage, and are expected to reopen on Tuesday, Aug. 12.
“During the Aug. 8 weekend, Orange County Courthouse underwent a partial power outage, causing damage to electrical control circuits," stated a press release from the Orange County Department of Public Works (DPW). "On the morning of Aug. 11, DPW conducted an extensive evaluation of the Courthouse and subsequently contacted court officials. Court officials decided to close the Courthouse prior to the start of business on Monday. We ask for the public’s patience as county crews work with Orange and Rockland Utilities to fully restore power to the Courthouse.”
