Fire police to hold training seminar

— The Orange County Volunteer Fire Police Association will be hosting a training seminar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Orange County Fire Training Center on Route 17M in New Hampton.

All fire, police, fireman, fire officers, police officers, and town personal are welcome to attend this seminar.

The program includes:
9-11 a.m. — Quick Clearance and Highway Safety presented by the New York State Police

11:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Responding to Gas and Electric Emergencies presented by Central Hudson

12:15 p.m. — Lunch
2 p.m. — Command and Control of a Railway Incident presented by Timothy Meade

At the end of the seminar, certificates will be given out to all those who attend.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. Coffee and doughnuts will be served from 8 to 9 a.m.

Preregistration prior to Friday, Aug. 15, will be $5 per person. Registration at the door will be $10 per person.

A lunch menu will be available at the door for pre-ordering. Lunch will cost $10.

To preregister send $5 with your name, address, phone number and department to: George A. Treutle, 374 Angelo Drive, Montgomery, N.Y. 12549. All preregistrations must be post marked by Aug. 15. Make checks out to Orange County Volunteer Fire Police Association.

Lunch payment is separate and paid at the door.

The room is limited to the first 70 people who sign up.
