'42nd Street' opening night is Friday

    Every year it seems there will be no way to replace a graduating class as they present their final performance in a spring musical at Goshen High School. Yet, there is always another class coming up right behind them, waiting for their swan song on stage in another of the school's storied spring productions. This year's crop of seniors is no different as they devote themselves to bringing another stellar performance to life.     The first ones to arrive, the last ones to leave: that's a good description of the stage crews around the Hudson Valley at this time of year as area high schools prepare for their annual spring musicals. In Goshen, that's even more accurate given the magnitude of the GHS 50+ years of theatrical tradition. These senior members of the stage crew managed to stop for just a few moments during a recent rehearsal for this year's show, 42nd Street. GOSHEN — Friday's the night when the curtain goes up on Goshen High School's spring musical, "42nd Street," the classic Broadway musical.
Leading roles are portrayed by Matt Gomes, (as Julian Marsh) Brandon Morales, (as Andy Lee) Kelsey Lindenman (as Annie Reilly) and Nick Grundig (as Billy Lawlor); (front Performances are on Friday, March 16, at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, March 17, at 7:30 p.m.; and a matinee performance at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 18.
All seats are reserved and can be purchased at Goshen High School main office or by visiting the school's website (gcsny.org), printing and returning the ticket order form. Call 615-6105 for more information.
