Fire Police to meet May 14 for bylaws talk

— The Orange County Volunteer Fire Police Association will meet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, at the Howells Fire Department, 26 Elm St., Howells, N.Y.

The bylaw committee will present the second reading of the by-law changes followed by discussion.

The May meeting is also the association's memorial meeting. A service will be conducted for members of the Orange County Fire Police Association who died during the past year, from May 2013 through April 2014. Services will start at 8 p.m. All fire police are urged to attend. Family members of the deceased, and members of their fire department are also welcome.

After the meeting refreshments will be served.

The remaining meetings for 2013-14 will be held on the second Wednesday of the month. All meetings will start at 7 p.m.

June 7 — Picnic in Chester, 2 to 6 p.m. at Chester Commons Park on Laroe Road (behind the ambulance bay)

June 11 — Special meeting at the Campbell Hall Fire Department starting at 7 p.m. for the final reading of the by-law changes followed by a vote.
